Harvestman

Here’s a harvestman hanging out on my front porch. The picture’s a little blurry, but that’s because the focus is on an important area. See the legs sticking out in front of the face, like a fifth pair of legs folded up? Those are his pedipalps—very definitely his; pedipalps like that are, ahem, “boy parts”. Then the long, stout pair of things sticking forward from the face would be….
Yikes. Would those be jaws?
Yes. Yes they would. More specifically, the stomotheca, which is a fancy-schmancy word that means “mouth parts”. The stomotheca is significantly different from spider mouth parts in that it can take in solid food, not just liquid. Nom!
