Wooly Bear Face

I finally got close enough to a wooly bear to get a good face shot. Getting close to a wooly bear isn’t that hard, I guess; it’s the getting a decent photograph while I’m there that’s the problem. Anyway, I am very concerned by what are obviously gigantic venomous centipedelike fangs coming out of its face. They’re not it’s feet, so I am left with worrisome unresolved concerns.
Fortunately, I happen to know that this little critter eats grass. It’s about 4cm long and hanging out on a hiking trail near Utah Lake. After photographing it, I carefully moved it to the leaves and grass on the side of the trail so it wouldn’t get trampled by joggers.

Awwww isn’t that cute. Until you irradiate it and it goes beserk, grows to 50 feet long at starts to develop an appetite for human flesh that is. That’s just the way it is with giant bugs.

We haven’t even gotten started on the part when it turns into a giant moth, and two tiny women show up.
